Retraced steps via earliest non corrupt save I could load prior to the ghauls liftoff and carefully saved and re-loaded each auto save step by step until i found exact location of my "saving fault" it was on way from leaving the basement heading for the watching platform, this is directly after last convo with Chris, the man who assists the ghauls in their space mission.Specifically, its the first door you must open after re-entering the repconn basement (thus tripping the autosave feature), this is located just after passing thru the room with the sleeping mats on the floor in the basement, the door is at the top of the stairs.of course this glitch may be unique to my game.
finished mission and pottered on for 3 hrs without a problem prior to this mission (20hrs) or during gameplay after mission.until next day when i tried to reload game. Don't really want to carry on if at some point they fix it but not for those already having done it.ĭoes anyone else have this problem or know of a fix? I'm in two minds whether to carry on with other missions whilst waiting for a fix or lose a few hours of play time and redo it. What I do know is that every game save is fine until you complete this mission then every one after it is corrupt. It seems to have something to do with either the ghoul you meet in the basement, the space suit or leaving the test site during the mission and coming back later to finish it off but not exactly sure on this.
It took me a little while to pinpoint when it happened but when I did it was a shock how many others have exactly the same issue. All my saved games prior to that are fine, but when you complete the mission, every saved game afterwards is corrupt.
I realise we have a main PC Fallout New Vegas thread but wanted to start one regarding this very, very annoying issue I have and searching the net and other forums it seems to be quite widespread.īasically I have got to the 'Come Fly With Me' mission where you have to send the Ghouls into space.
